The Idaho Transportation Department Initiatives
First, The Idaho Transportation Department has started implementing damage tire sensors to monitor tires on the road. This initiative aims to enhance road safety by detecting tire issues before they lead to accidents. Additionally, The Idaho Transportation Department will host a trap shoot on June 5th at the Twin Falls Gun Club. The entry fee is $75 and includes lunch and a chance to win a prizes. These events and initiatives highlight the importance of maintaining vehicle safety and building community among drivers.
Positive Attitudes and Communication
Furthermore, Giltner Transportation looks for positive attitudes from drivers when interacting with shippers and receivers. Maintaining a positive attitude is crucial because a negative interaction can lead to the entire company being blacklisted. Drivers should communicate any delays to dispatch as soon as possible. This proactive approach helps manage expectations and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
Additionally, cracked windshields can put a driver out of service. Drivers should replace a windshield that is chipped or cracked because it can impair visibility. Giltner emphasizes the importance of vehicle maintenance to ensure driver safety and compliance with regulations.
